Student Supplies

BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING LIST (BY PROGRAM)

 

FYI:  Proper Uniform is a large part of each student's work ethic grade each day as well as ensuring safety in the program.  Work Ethic is 34% of the students' grades this year, so it is very important for students to be prepared to participate in their uniforms immediately upon arrival to class. 

Pants/jeans should not have holes in them. Students should also bring any pencils/pens/materials to help them with notes/bookwork/studying.

*List may change slightly based on program instructor.

Auto Mechanics

1.     Dickie Work Pants

2.     Work Boots (Sturdy-doesn’t have to be steel toed)

Collision Repair

1.     Work Pants (no holes or rips)

2.     Work Boots (do not need to be steel toe)

3.     Pencils 

Welding helmets will be provided for student use; however, they may purchase their own if they choose. Students will receive one (1) painting respirator mask, sanding dust particle mask, safety glasses, and work gloves. If a student loses any of the items provided, they will be responsible for purchasing those items to enter the shop area.

Construction Trades

1.     Work boots with sturdy soles (Doesn’t have to be steel toed)

2.     Jeans or work type pants

 

Cosmetology

1.     3-inch 3 ring binder

2.     Highlighters

3.     Pencils

4.     Black Pants

Culinary

1.     Black Slip- Resistant Shoes (please make sure the shoes are specified as slip resistant and keep the receipt in case they aren't) 

2.     Black Pants: No Jeans, Yoga style elastic pants or Sweatpants

3.     3-inch 3 ring binder for recipe collection

Students are provided with a Chef coat, Chef hat and apron to wear during class.

Electrical Occupations

1.     Boots or heavy duty leather shoes (i.e. hikers; steel toe not recommended)

2.     Long Jeans or canvas work pants with no holes in them

3.     Safety glasses (optional, one basic pair provided per student)

Health Occupations

1.     Navy blue scrubs - scrub jacket not required but recommended

2.     Close-toed shoes/sneakers 

3.     Index cards

4.     Binder/Folder

5.     Pen/Pencil

HVAC

1.     Work boots

2.     Work pants

Powersports

1.     Work boots

2.     Work pants

Public Health & Safety

1.     Gym clothes for both warm and cold environments.  (T-shirt provided by the HCCTC), shorts, sweatpants, leggings, sneakers (that do NOT slip off feet when running.) 

  1. Black polishable boots as indicated above.

Physical fitness periods can occur at any time. The school is providing a school T-shirt that can be worn with the shorts or sweat pants on this day. 

SERT

1.     Any colored scrubs if you do not wish to wear supplied school shirts

Welding

1.     Leather boots steel toe or safety toe

2.     Blue jeans (No holes)
