Job description:

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

·       Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare education, program coordination, or related roles.

·       Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

·       Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

·       Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

·       Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Experience in curriculum development and instructional design preferred.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and educational technology platforms.

·       Current clearances and training as per HCCTC school policy

Work Conditions:

·       260-day hourly confidential employee

·       40 hours per week Mon – Friday with hours 8 AM – 4 PM; However, to be determined based on programming events with evening and weekend hours as needed

·       Limited telework is available with administrative approval

·       Salary and fringe benefits as defined confidential contract

Primary Functions:

·       Engage with Local Healthcare Systems:

·       Establish and maintain partnerships with local healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices.

·       Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify training needs and opportunities for program development.

     Facilities Scheduling:

·       Coordinate the scheduling of facilities at the Health Science Annex for various training programs and workshops.

·       Ensure optimal utilization of resources and adherence to established timelines.

     Needs Assessment:

·       Conduct thorough needs assessments of local healthcare systems to determine current and future staffing and training needs.

·       Gather data on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements to inform program development.

     Reporting and Documentation:

·       Compile and analyze findings from needs assessments and other relevant sources.

·       Prepare comprehensive reports outlining identified needs, recommended training programs, and implementation strategies for presentation to administration and stakeholders.

     Hybrid Medical Assistant Program:

·       Design and implement a hybrid Medical Assistant Program that combines traditional classroom instruction with online learning modules.

·       Develop curriculum, course materials, and assessment tools in collaboration with subject matter experts.

·       Deliver engaging and interactive instruction for the Medical Assistant Program, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote student comprehension and retention.

     Training Program Implementation:

·       Work closely with administration, faculty, and industry partners to implement training programs identified in the needs assessment.

·       Oversee program logistics, including enrollment, scheduling, instructor assignments, and student support services.

Responsibilities:

·       Establish and cultivate partnerships with local healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices, through regular communication and networking efforts.

·       Conduct meetings and discussions with healthcare professionals to identify specific training needs and opportunities for program development based on industry insights and feedback.

·       Collaborate with healthcare professionals to design customized training programs tailored to address identified needs and enhance workforce skills.

·       Coordinate the scheduling of facilities at the Health Science Annex, ensuring availability and suitability for various training programs and workshops.

·       Develop and maintain a comprehensive scheduling system to efficiently manage facility bookings and resource allocation including the processing of invoicing.

·       Monitor facility usage to optimize resource utilization and minimize scheduling conflicts, adjusting as needed to accommodate evolving program requirements as well as ordering supplies and scheduling for services.

·       Conduct comprehensive needs assessments of local healthcare systems, utilizing surveys, interviews, and data analysis to gather relevant information.

·       Analyze data collected during needs assessments to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement within local healthcare systems.

·       Research industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements to stay informed and ensure program development aligns with current standards and best practices.

·       Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings from needs assessments, including recommendations for addressing identified needs and implementing effective training programs.

·       Present reports and recommendations to administration and stakeholders, clearly communicating insights and proposed strategies for program development and improvement.

·       Develop a hybrid Medical Assistant Program, integrating traditional classroom instruction with online learning modules to enhance accessibility and flexibility for participants.

·       Collaborate with subject matter experts to design curriculum, develop course materials, and create assessment tools aligned with program objectives and industry standards.

·       Coordinate the implementation of training programs, working closely with administration, faculty, and industry partners to ensure smooth execution and successful outcomes.

·       Monitor program progress and effectiveness, collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform ongoing program refinement and improvement efforts.

·       Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by the administration, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute to the overall success of the Health Sciences program and the institution as a whole.

Evaluation:

·       Will be completed within 6 months of hire and yearly thereafter

·       Can be completed by the Executive Director or appointed designee.

Contract:

·       Health Sciences Coordinator will be a full-time position to be renewed on July 1 based on a performance evaluation review completed by the HCCTC Administrative team.

·       Upon successful review, the contract can be renewed for an acceptable length negotiated by the Employee and Administration.

·       Salary range - $56,000 - $62,000 per year. Upon renewal of the contract, the Employee and Administration shall negotiate a percentage increase effective in the next contract.

·       Vacation Days – Twenty (20) Vacation Days will be awarded through the end of this contract cycle.

·       Sick Leave – Ten (10) days will be awarded through the end of this contract cycle.

·       Personal Leave – Three (3) days will be awarded through the end of this contract cycle.
